Introduction
This was the project for the course Financial Forensics, which gave us the financial statements and ratios of over 4000 stocks as well as prices at two time periods, and required us to make an investment portfolio, with a given investment budget.
The grading was done on two aspects - profitability of the portfolio and the report which contained a detailed explanation of the logic used to shortlist stocks and allocate the budget.
I used a Machine Learning approach to make my portfolio.
My portfolio eventually showed returns of 30.33% as opposed to estimated returns of 33.3%. Nevertheless, it was the top portfolio in our batch.
